Illustration Friday - Flavor

No time this week for something new, so I pulled this gal out from my files. She's 100% digital and changes flavor with just a touch. Go ahead... try it! Happy New Year!

She's a frisky thing, isn't she, changing colours according to mood. Reminds me almost of those dolls where you can make their hair long or short. Very ingenious.

Bonne annee Carla!

this may be one you already have, but it's a great idea. the roll-over is the icing on the cake. i just saw your holiday entry, the is great it looks like scratch board the way you did it, very nice. where did you find those markers? i'm really wanting to try them after seeing what you did. also, i agree with what you said about drawing time. there never seems to be enough quality creation time, and it is very special when it can be found.

WOW - I would love to know how you did THAT! That's so much fun - great illo... also I loved your gel pen girl below - again, the intricacy is something I wish I could put more of into my drawings... I am not so painstaking though! :)

Happy New Year, Carla! This is an ingenious picture, and cleverly connected to the topic. I'd say it was about "the flavour of Love," except she has such an ambivalent/nonchalant look to her :). The composition is wonderful - very strong use of black shapes and spot colours, and a sense of being made as a print!

This is SO different from your customary illustrations! You've been hiding at least some of your skills (the interactive wizardry) under a bushel! I'm not sure she looks particularly sweet, though.
