EDM Challenge - mug
I'm working my way through the challenges. This is another combo... sort of... since it's both a glass and a mug. I'll count this as challenge # 4. I had fun trying to do the ridges. It's so hard to get a balance between observing closely and loosening up!

Thanks for the ideas. I think I get nervous about sketching quickly...there's that mental block that it has to look "right." I should get beyond that I just do it...ultimately I will get it right!
This turned out very nice! The light in the base comes through just right.
Carla, interesting that you teach lit and writing, I have done so in the past. (I'm teaching fiction writing to seniors next spring.) And I loved your (posted) connection of freewriting with this freestyle of visual journaling. Now if I could only draw all the things that pour through my head--much easier to write it!
Nice..glass can be hard to "capture"..good work.
