Illustration Friday - Clear
What We Need Is Here
Geese appear high over us,
pass, and the sky closes. Abandon,
as in love or sleep, holds
them to their way, clear
in the ancient faith: what we need
is here. And we pray, not
for new earth or heaven, but to be
quiet in heart, and in eye,
clear. What we need is here.
Wendell Berry - ( 1934- )

Hi there! Wow, Carla, you are really mastering the way light shines on a landscape! Wonderful depth, texture and representation of not only the forest, but also the trees! :-)

They look like they're dancing! Lovely lovely work, Carla.

Most definitely Carla. Your landscapes are looking great!
Love the painting, would love to take a walk there. :-)
This is beautiful and tranquil. I really needed to see this forest right now. thank you.
Oh so magical and the colors are really soothing.
This is my favorite of your paintings so far. I love the light you've captured in this. It seems to be warm and soft and glowing and it's warming up my chilly room. I'm trying to figure out what you did with color to get that glow. It's so masterfully done and so lovely!
oh lovely!!
Thanks for the message, Carla...really appreciate it. take care -
Like thin elegant hands reaching up to tickle the leaves. Excellent work, as always.
so beautiful Carla...love it!!!
Luminescent!! Just beautiful.
That is gorgeous! I love those forests, well done, great vibe!
beautiful fall work
What a lovely painting - those trees look like you've only to turn your head away and they'd start dancing but are too shy to when observed!
Wow, love the color girl!
Something about Birch trees. Love them! Very beautiful and ethereal about this piece. Gorgeous as always!
Your landscape drawings are so delicate and convey a sense of serenity.
A beautiful painting and great choice of poetry. Bravo!
It's so bright and full of hope. Clear and pure beauty of nature at its best and what a fabulous way you have captured those lights. Wov!
clearly beautiful!
Clearly beautiful! You have a gift for color!
Carla, that is a wonderful composition. I love the play of yellow on the top and bottom. It is not just a painterly painting of trees but a study of direction and color intersecting.
Always impressive. Beautiful work, Carla.
Great work as always Carla. I love how you rendered the light on the leaves.
Beautiful, I wish I can see the fall colors someday.
Very nice
This is really beautiful Carla. Birch trees are perhaps my favorite, and this looks like heaven. And thank-you, btw, for your encouragement regarding NaNo. :0)

This is beautiful!!
Wonderful design and the yellows are balanced perfectly, in lesser hands this could have looked like a lemon meringue pie with legs.
The autumn light contrast with the deepening shawdows of the woods is such a treat. Beautiful!
I'm sure I meant shadows.
You've painted my favorite trees, and they're beautiful!
I'm stepping in, the leaves would make beautiful music, mmm that would clear my head fer sure!
This is sooo beautiful. I was updating blogs and wow, have you changed. I like it but funny, I would not bookmark it now as I did when your worK was more graphic. Glad I stuck around for the change!
Not to be a downer, but sometimes a change is a sign.. everything okay?
Beautifully painted in warm inviting colors, Carla. If it weren't nightime I would get up and go for a walk in the woods.
