Lovely Hearts

Grow Together and Sunset Swans

I have sent these two paintings to be part of the "Lovely Hearts" charity exhibition put on by artstream gallery to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Artstream is donating their portion of the proceeds to the charity, and I have decided that I will donate my portion as well.

Both pieces are 6" x 8" acrylic on canvas with light cherry stained wood gallery frames. They, along with lots of other really wonderful "Lovely Hearts," are available for purchase at the artstream online shop.

Carla these are both so lovely. I have always admired them and think that to be able to paint such perfect scenes in such a small area must take great control and talent. What a lovely gift.

Hi Carla,
Thanks for the comment! I am loving your lady portraits!

I ended up starting with a basic set of 10 Liquitex acrylics. I wanted to be sure of acrylics before I socked too much money into it, and now that I'm liking them so much I'm curious to try other brands. I have heard I shouldn't mix brands - do you agree or not? I was thinking of getting a few tubes of Golden's to compare quality. I use the paint in layers, watered down often. I am excited I am nearly done with my bluebird, which I will post soon.
